The BYD Mini ES is for Australians to optimise energy and reduce power bills using smart technology.
The BYD Mini monitors energy produced by your solar system and also your homes power consumption. This allows the BYD Mini to charge from excess solar energy or from off-peak periods and supply energy to the home during peak times to avoid using power from the grid & at high cost.
Data is visualised using an easy to use app via your smart phone. It allows you to track your energy usage habits and monitor your electricity savings. We are also looking to bring Artificial Intelligence tech into the BYD Mini App.
Australia is transitioning to a sustainable energy future by reducing its reliance on fossil fuel sources. The BYD battery enables a virtual power plant (VPP) network of home solar photovoltaic (PV) and storage of energy working together. This enables local generation, storage of energy and allows excess energy to be supplied to the grid.
The BYD Mini has a Demand Response Function built in, ready for the peer to peer energy trading economy. For example, a BYD MINI owner may have excess energy stored when other network customers are willing to pay a premium for the energy at peak demand times. Effectively this allows the BYD mini owner to automatically supply energy to others and be rewarded with a higher feed in rate; effectively reducing the payback period of the BYD mini.
For every BYD Mini ES sold in Australia, in order to receive 10 years full warranty on battery parts and labour service, it must be installed by a Licensed Electricians who have Clean Energy Council’s battery endorsement. Systems designed and installed by Clean Energy Council-accredited installers are eligible for additional government incentives and rebates.
Ultra Green Energy as BYD’s local agency will also deliver training, examine and certify installers; ensuring a high standard. To maintain a high standard the BYD Mini battery system can only be installed by approved Ultra Green Energy installers.
